PSI provides designers and architects with two distinct lunch-and-learn classes for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) accreditation. These sessions are accredited by AIA, HSW, and IDCEC, offering participants the opportunity to earn 1 credit each.
Performance Art: Wall Panel Systems for Contemporary Interiors
Our learning objectives is to make architects and designers familiar with wall panel systems. By completing this course, the professional will be able to:
- Identify the basic components of an interior wall panel system, and relevant performance and design characteristics
- Explore with ease the different component options and combinations that affect the performance and aesthetic features of a typical WPS
- Discern the appropriate assemblies for specific interior requirements and conditions
- Evaluate the product’s potential value as a versatile interior design solution for projects in multiple markets, building types, and budgets
Laminate Wall Panel Systems
This course will give a comprehensive overview of the makeup of an engineered wall panel system with an emphasis on panels with laminate surfaces. It will explore the distinctions between the construction of TFL, HPL and Compact Laminates (Phenolic) and how this impacts performance of these three surface types, Care and maintenance of these systems will be discussed as it relates to other wall surface options. An evaluation of appropriate interior applications for each laminate wall panel type will also be discussed.
Our learning objectives aim to acquaint architects and designers not only with wall panel systems but also with various types of laminates. Upon completion of this course, professionals will be able to:
- Learn the materials differences between TFL, HPL and Compact Laminates wall panel systems.
- Know the performance characteristics of each of these wall panel systems.
- Understand what goes into an engineered wall panel system.
- Discover design considerations that impact cost when using laminate wall panel systems.
- Identify interiors applications for the different laminate wall panel systems.
